Care Instructions

All of my ceramics are fired at very high temperatures, making them strong enough to handle dishwashers and microwaves (see each product page for specific details - pieces with gold lustre must always be cold hand washed and are not microwave safe).

That said, harsh detergents and the wear of frequent dishwashing can gradually weaken ceramics over time. To help your pieces last for years to come, I recommend treating them with care - hand washing whenever possible and handling them gently to avoid cracks or chips.s

 

Thermal Shock

Just like glass, ceramics (handmade or otherwise) are sensitive to sudden temperature changes. Moving a piece quickly from very hot to very cold, or vice versa, can cause thermal shock and lead to cracking. To prevent this, allow your ceramics a little time to adjust before exposing them to drastic temperature shifts.


Do you offer gift wrapping?

Yes! Gift wrapping is available for a small fee of $2. Simply select the gift wrap option from the drop-down menu when placing your order, and I’ll make sure your piece arrives nicely gift wrapped.

If your order contains multiple items, you can choose whether to have them wrapped together or individually. Gift wrapping fees apply per item ($2 each) if you’d like every piece wrapped separately.

If you’d like to include a personalized message for the recipient, just leave your note in the order form and I’ll handwrite it for you.


Do you take custom orders?

Yes.

Returns & Exchanges

The beauty of handmade ceramics lies in their individuality — no two pieces are ever exactly the same. While I strive to describe and photograph each item as accurately as possible, natural variations in clay, glaze, and firing can result in slight differences in size, colour, and finish from piece to piece.

I do not offer refunds. However, if your item arrives damaged in transit or is faulty, I’ll be happy to provide a replacement or store credit. Please note that replacements may take a little time, as I may not always have stock on hand.

If you’re truly unsatisfied with your purchase, please reach out within 14 days of receiving your order by emailing sales@mudhavi.com and we can work together on a fair solution.
