French Butter Nest
A handcrafted French butter keeper, wheel thrown from dark speckled stoneware and finished in a warm creamy glaze with natural iron flecking. Designed in two parts, the French Butter Nest keeps butter fresh, soft and ready to spread while sitting beautifully on your kitchen bench.
How to use
- Fill the upper vessel with softened butter, pressing it firmly into the cavity with the back of a spoon.
- Pour a small amount of fresh water into the base.
- Invert the butter-filled vessel into the base. The water creates a natural seal that helps keep air away from the butter, keeping it fresh and spreadable.
- Replace the water every few days, or at least once a week, for best results.
The French Butter Nest holds approximately 250g of butter, making it perfect for everyday use.
